Thanks for help with pig-pickin’

-A A +A

To the editor:
This is a letter of thanks to our many friends and family members who help us each year on the third weekend in October to put together a big pig-pickin’ in the backyard on Asheville Street on Ocean Isle Beach.
This year was to be no different, with a 130-pound pig and the grill ready to be fired up. The big storm Sandy threatened to cause us to cancel, but it didn’t happen, as John Causey from Shallotte Presbyterian Church stepped in with an offer of the church’s fellowship hall.
