Thanks for help at wreck

Many of you know there was a tragic car accident in front of Brunswick Community Hospital on Friday, Aug. 15.

I would like to express appreciation to the many local agencies that responded to the scene. Responders from Brunswick County EMS, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, N.C. Highway Patrol and several local fire and EMS agencies were on the scene within minutes. In addition, Brunswick Electric had a crew on-site to restore power to the hospital. Each of these agencies arrived quickly and showed dedication to this community and our hospital.

Many physicians and staff responded to the scene to help care for the victims. They worked side by side with local agencies to assist people involved in the accident. I am proud to work with each of these individuals.

To the local agencies who responded and to the hospital physicians and staff, thank you for your heroic efforts. Our thoughts and prayers will be with the victims, the survivors, and their families for the weeks and months ahead.
