The event is from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and admission is free.

Postural foot scans, vision screens, foot levelers screenings, golf swing explanation and instruction, eyeglass adjustments and chair massages will be available.

Healthcare administrators will also be on hand providing information about nutrition, breast health, mental health, hand hygiene and eldercare.

Lectures will take place throughout the day in the HOSA classroom, beginning at 10 a.m. with “Skin Cancer from A-Z,” by Dr. Jeff Coury of Coastal Carolina ENT. Denise Mihal, president of Brunswick Community Hospital, will present “The Future of Healthcare in Brunswick County” at 11:30 a.m., and a bariatrics lecture by the New Hanover Regional Medical Center will be at 12:15 p.m.

A baked chicken buffet by Jerome’s will be available for $6. Childcare will be provided at no additional cost, and door prizes will be given throughout the day, with a new, top-of-the-line treadmill as the day’s grand prize.

“Healthcare is an integral part of our community, and there will be many quality professionals to answer any medical questions you may have,” Christy Williamson, event organizer and Beacon advertising sales representative, said.
