Too big for its building: Work under way on Carolina Shores addition

CAROLINA SHORES—When this newly incorporated golf course community snipped the ribbon on its shiny new town hall nine years ago, the 3,734-square-foot structure seemed plenty big enough.

Now, almost a decade later, an overwhelming amount of town business has the town outgrowing its Persimmon Road building.

To accommodate the growth and provide more space for town employees to work in, work has begun on a new, connecting office addition at town hall.
