Trojans claim Veterans Cup

WILMINGTON—West Brunswick survived two close matches and claimed its first tournament championship of the high school wrestling season on Saturday.

The Trojans won five consecutive matches to take the top spot in the 7th Annual Veterans Cup, a 12-team tournament at Ashley High School.

“It was a good day for us,” said West Brunswick coach Jimmy Caraway. “It feels good to go 5-0 and win the close ones. We finally won some close matches.”
