The West Brunswick boys’ varsity basketball team 64-52 West Bladen on Friday night and remained in first place in the Waccamaw Conference.
West Brunswick is 6-2 in the conference and 9-7 overall. It enters the week with four conference games left as it seeks its first conference championship since 1989.
The game ended with 13.2 seconds left after West guard Markel Jones was fouled around the neck. After tempers flared on both sides, the referees ended the game.
