Pat Kamfolt’s two-out RBI single in the ninth inning lifted West Brunswick to a 4-3 win against county rival South Brunswick in a high school baseball game last Tuesday at Boiling Spring Lakes.
West Brunswick got a strong performance from senior pitchers Ethan Cox and Aaron Evans, who combined on a two-hitter with 16 strikeouts.
The left-handed Cox got the start and allowed two hits and one earned run, struck out nine and walked three in 5 2/3 innings. The right-handed Evans pitched 3 1/3 no-hit innings in relief for the win. He struck out seven.
