Brunswick County is the lucky county this week with two tickets—one “Carolina Cash 5” and one Powerball—sold totaling more than $400,000, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery.
The “Carolina Cash 5” ticket that matched all five balls on the Feb. 6 drawing is worth $212,287. It was purchased at The Pop Shoppe on Village Road in Leland. There was one Powerball ticket matching all five white balls on last night’s drawing, which is worth $200,000. The ticket was sold at the Minuteman Food Mart on Causeway Drive in Ocean Isle.
As of Thursday afternoon, the winners have not stepped forward to claim their prizes.
A total of 43,798 Powerball players won prizes in the Wednesday drawing ranging from $200,000 down to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $669,519. No one won the jackpot, so the jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is worth an estimated $63 million.
