Two suspects arrested for Leland break-ins

Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested two suspects who were implicated in several investigations involving a Leland business.

Landmark Properties, 2101 Enterprise Blvd., was broken into on three occasions, June 24, June 29 and July 6.

Around 2 a.m. July 6, sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm at the business and caught suspects Jonathan Steven Terry and David Uegene Lee on the roof attempting to enter the building, Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Sgt. April Stanley said.

Items stolen from the business were found on the two suspects.

Sgt. Kevin Long and deputies Colin Smoots and Chris Sasser surrounded the building and took the suspects into custody.

Terry, 24, of 12984 Highway 210, Rocky Point, was charged with three counts of felony larceny and three counts of injury to real property.

Lee, 29, of 101 Hayduke Lane, Rocky Point, was charged with three counts of felony larceny and three counts of injury to real property.

Both suspects were taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center, where they remain on $35,000 secured bonds.

According to Stanley, charges resulted from more than $215,000 worth of damages and more than $355,000 of property stolen from Landmark Properties.
