To the editor:
Does anyone think for a moment that Iran has any intention of not developing a nuclear bomb? Really?
We have again been sucked into the belief that hope is a method for resolving this crisis. Why did we not, at the very least, observe the Iranians’ destruction or handover of any and all enriched uranium before easing any sanctions? Do we even know how much enriched uranium they have processed already — not what they say, but what they have actually produced? There is no way to know for sure. Why would we not have them dismantle and turn over all centrifuges to the IAEA to prevent any future enrichment?
We will live to regret this day at the expense of our Israeli and other friends in the Middle East. Washington had better wake up.
