Walmart spearheads back-to-school supply drive

Walmart stores in Leland, Shallotte and Southport are working with Communities in Schools of Brunswick County Inc. (CIS) to collect school supplies for students attending Brunswick County Schools. The Build-A-Backpack campaign runs through Aug. 21.

“Walmart strives to provide opportunities that improve the lives of students in our communities,” said Jimmy Creech, manager of Southport Walmart. “This program will assist in ensuring that our students are prepared for school.”
