A Brunswick County man has finally been arrested after police have been searching for him since early October.
Kenneth Ross Jessup, 45, of Southport, was wanted for felony worthless check, absconding a felony indictment for a similar charge and a contempt citation from court.
He had last been seen in the Southport area in mid-November. He was arrested around 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, in Wrightsville Beach.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, officials received an anonymous tip about Jessup’s whereabouts.
He is now in custody at the Brunswick County Detention Center under a $185,000 secured bond. He has been charged with 14 counts of common law forgery, 14 counts of common law uttering, two counts of felony worthless check, one count of misdemeanor checks and contempt of court.
Sheriff John Ingram thanked the public for their help in finding Jessup.
