Wards win trip to New York City

Al and Kathy Ward of Sunset Beach recently spent a weekend touring New York City as winners of the Big Apple Holiday Getaway presented by ATMC.

The couple’s entry was submitted to www.atmconline.com, and they were selected via random drawing to win the four-day, three night trip, including accommodations at the Four Diamond Muse Hotel in New York’s famed theater district, airfare, tickets to NBC Studio Tour, dinner at the Rainbow Room and tickets to the dress rehearsal of the Dec. 6 episode of Saturday Night Live.

The Wards were excited when they learned they were the winners.

“We had never been to New York but had always wanted to go, so this was a wonderful opportunity for us,” said Al Ward, upon returning from the trip. “We saw Mama Mia and the Rockettes’ Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and enjoyed the Saturday Night Live dress rehearsal and our dinner at the Rainbow Room. From our table at the Rainbow Room, we had an unbelievable view of the city. We had an unforgettable experience and would like to thank ATMC for our Big Apple Getaway.”

The Wards were within close walking distance of Broadway, Time Square, Radio City Music Hall and Fifth Avenue shopping. They were able to see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza and tour the store window displays.

ATMC’s community Web portal at www.atmconline.com is a Web site that includes information and links for local, state and national news, weather and a variety of additional topics. Local movie times at the Shallotte and Southport theaters are also available under the “Entertainment” section. It also includes a calendar of local events.

Portal users can check their e-mail and pay their ATMC bill via the myATMC online bill payment site. Portal visitors use their ATMC Webmail username and password to log in to the site.

Once logged-in, users can customize their portal page by arranging the information modules for sports, finance, news and entertainment. Users may also add some of their favorite links and RSS feeds. There is no cost for customers to use atmconline.com.
