Waterford residents tell town they don’t want planned apartments

LELAND—Leland’s planning staff was talking text changes to the town’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) at last Thursday night’s town meeting, but residents of the Waterford subdivision were only hearing that unwanted apartments were coming to their development.

The concern grew out of changes proposed to add multi-family zoning to the UDO and to conditional zoning permits.
