Weekend doesn't diminish McCumbee's hopes

MANSFIELD, Ohio—The Ohio 250 was less than ideal for Chad McCumbee and Team MRD. The team battled through a series of brake, tire and shock issues that has it looking forward to a new page in the championship race this weekend in Dover, Del.

The team began the weekend with two decent practice sessions that had it about mid-pack for this week’s short-track battle at Mansfield Motorsports Park. Chad and Team MRD focused on race setups during practice that left them optimistic heading into Friday’s qualifying session and Saturday’s race.
