Residents of Brunswick County gathered in Supply to celebrate the Department of Veterans Affairs new Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). WellCare Home Health and other area health leaders hosted the event, which served a cookout-style lunch to those who came out to support the clinic and to thank Congressman Mike McIntyre for his efforts in making this resource a reality for the community.
Slated to open in early August, the new clinic will ensure timely access to quality care for the veterans of southeastern North Carolina. With Brunswick County’s growing population, the clinic’s location at 20 Medical Center Drive in Supply will allow the VA to provide care to more of North Carolina’s veterans.
As a healthcare provider serving the citizens of Brunswick County and surrounding areas, WellCare understands the important role the clinic will play in the wellbeing of veterans in the community.
