The West Brunswick High School boys’ soccer team won for the first time this season, beating Northern Nash 1-0 in the Brittany Invitational.
West sophomore Scottie Melvin scored the only goal at 63:20. Sophomore midfielder Jonathan Newhouse had the assist.
West junior goalkeeper Josh Upchurch had four saves in the shutout.
