West Brunswick baseball team celebrates championship season

The West Brunswick High School baseball team celebrated its conference championship during its awards banquet May 29 in the school cafeteria.

Coach Mike Alderson, the Mideastern Conference Coach of the Year, noted the Trojan baseball team was the first WBHS team to win a conference title since WBHS has been in the conference. The Trojans finished 9-3 in the conference and 20-7 overall.

What was more important, he said, was the team had a grade-point average of 3.0.

Four Trojans were recognized for making first team all-conference.
