West loses conference match to Whiteville

The West Brunswick High School girls’ tennis lost a conference match and a non-conference match last week.
In an 8-1 loss to Whiteville, West’s only victory was at No. 1 singles by Penny Watts, 6-1, 6-0 over Olivia Butler. Rachel Norton lost to Carly High 6-2, 6-2. Sarah Harman lost to Maleah Murray 6-1, 6-1. Victoria Jordan lost to Margret High 6-1, 6-1. Hayley Grimes lost to Madison Hege 6-1, 6-1. Ashley Carter lost to Kianna Washington 6-1, 6-1.
