Wilmington men arrested in Leland on heroin charges

Two Wilmington men were arrested on heroin-related charges Tuesday during a traffic stop on Village Road in Leland


Deputies arrested Wagus Moore, 27, of Harbor Drive, and Jimmy Levon Underwood, 26, of South 11th Street after seizing 20 bags of heroin and 18 grams of marijuana from their vehicle, according to a Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office news release. 

Moore was charged with possession with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver heroin (20 bags), sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is incarcerated at the Brunswick County Detention Facility under $44,000 bail.

Underwood, who was charged with conspiracy to sell or deliver heroin, also is in custody at the jail under $20,000 bail.
