Following a month-long investigation into allegations of exploitation of an elderly patient, Brunswick County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested Berkley Lyn Croft, a licensed practical nurse who was working at a nursing home in the Leland area.
Croft is charged with stealing $1,800 from a patient’s bank account by using her bank card without consent.
Croft, 38,of 5742 Pine St., Winnabow, has been charged with felony exploitation of an elder adult by person in a position of trust.
She was arrested and taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center, where she was placed under a $5,000 secured bond.
