CALABASH — A write-in candidates’ meet-and-greet scheduled for Friday at the Calabash Volunteer EMS station has been moved to another location.

The change was made after Troy Thorup, chairman and president of Calabash Volunteer EMS, was advised by an EMS attorney to cancel the event previously planned for Oct. 25 at the EMS building after a resident complained. The event was for Michael Herring and Carolyn Silvers, who have been campaigning as write-in candidates in the Nov. 5 town commissioners race.
