Silver Coast Winery will display the works of Suzanne C. Hunady from April 15-June 14.
Hunady is an Ohio native and a Bowling Green State University Alumna. She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at that university. She has been an educator of art at the public school level and at the collegiate level.
Her work reflects talent in several mediums including watercolors and acrylics.
Franklin Square Gallery in Southport is calling for vendors for its annual Garden and Art Showcase to be at Franklin Square Park from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 8.
Organizers are looking for seedlings, plants, shrubs, garden decor and accessories and arts and crafts.

ATMC awarded $25,000 in grant funds to 17 educators and community organizations serving Brunswick County students and residents and honored them with a reception on Nov. 12 at ATMC’s corporate headquarters in Shallotte.
Representatives from each school talked about the programs for which the grant funds are earmarked and how these grants will positively impact area students. Checks were disbursed for Smart Connections, the educational component of the cooperative’s grant program.

With the waxing moon and clear sky overhead it was eerie watching the cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground lightning light up the sky and the ocean from 45 miles away as the storm relentlessly displayed its tremendous energy off the coast from Bald Head Island and Wilmington.
