     Ethan and Elisabeth Willard are the proud parents of a daughter, Ava Kate Willard, born at 6:16 p.m. Jan. 17 at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center weighing 6 pounds, 12 ounces and measuring 19 inches in length.

    Maternal grandparents are the late Charles “Chuck” Moore and Beverly Moore of Wilmington.

    Paternal grandparents are Philip and Heather Kinlaw of Supply and Chauncey and Missy Willard of Lake Wylie, S.C.

  • Coleman birth

     Neal and Beth Coleman of Whiteville are the proud parents of a son, Stanley O’Neal Coleman, born at 11:14 p.m. Jan. 22 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington weighing 5 pounds, 4.8 ounces and measuring 17.5 inches in length.

    Maternal grandparents are Robin Price of Supply and the late Rufis H. Faulk.

    Paternal grandparents are Sandra Price of Crusoe and the late Richard Colenas Sr.

    Great-grandparents are Carl and Mackie Barefoot of Supply, Thomas Etheridge of Crusoe and the late Eula-Mae Etheridge.

  • Clemmons birth

     Jesse and Kristina Clemmons of Ocean Isle Beach are the proud parents of a daughter, Kinsley Chole Clemmons, born at 11:16 p.m. Jan. 20 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C., weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches in length.

    She joins a brother, Bentley, 3.

    Maternal grandparents are Wayne and Nanet Taylor of Ocean Isle Beach.

    Paternal grandparents are Rose and Dale Clemmons Sr. of Supply.

    Great-grandfather is Harvey McDonald.

  • Harpers celebrate 66th anniversary

     David and Marjorie Harper of Shallotte, formerly of Syracuse, N.Y., will celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary Wednesday, Feb. 25.

  • Ward birth

     Aaron Scott and Rachel N. Swain Ward of Shallotte are the proud parents of a son, Joshua Archer Ward, born at 3:41 a.m. Dec. 18, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, weighing nine pounds, 13 ounces and measuring 21 inches in length.

    He joins brothers Joseph Liam, 6, and Evan Josiah, 4, and sister Anna Elizabeth, 2.

    Maternal grandparents are Ennis and Marilyn Swain of Varnamtown.

    Paternal grandparents are Dewey and Rhonda Ward of Whiteville.

  • Undrena Gause re-enlists in Air National Guard

    Air Force Maj. Corey A. Gause of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., had the honor of re-enlisting his wife, Staff Sgt. Undrena Gause of Ocala, Fla., into the West Virginia Air National Guard. After 10 years of Air Force active duty and three years in the Air Force Reserve, Staff Sgt. Gause took 10 years from service to raise their two children, Corey A. Gause Jr. and Kaitlyn K. Gause.

    In civilian life, Capt. Gause is a Pentagon senior career civil servant and Staff Sgt. Gause is a lead MRI technician at Fairfax Radiology in Reston, Va. They live in the Washington, D.C., metro area.

  • Deppners celebrate 50th anniversary

     Hannah Frink Deppner and Mike Deppner of Calabash are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Feb. 20, 1965.
