Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Allison Rae Benton of Shallotte and Daniel Lawrence Leder of Little River, S.C. The bride-elect is the daughter of Gerald W. Benton of Ash and the late Ellen K. Benton. The prospective groom is the son of Mary Ann Allgood and Paul M. Leder of Whiteville. A March 13, 2011, wedding is planned at West Martello Tower in Key West, Fla.

Teresa Raye Zuber and Joshua Lewis Soderberg, both of Silver Spring, Md., were married on Aug. 25, the mother of the bride’s birthday, during an underwater ceremony at the Christ of the Abyss Statue in Key Largo, Fla. Rings were exchanged aboard the Amoray Diver Catamaran. Amy Slate officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Ellen and Ray Zuber of Calabash. The groom is the son of Joanne Geer and Bill Kilmer of San Antonio, Texas.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Gladys Britt of Supply and Ray Kopitzki of Medina, N.Y., were married on Sept. 14 at Niagara Falls. Britt is employed at Walgreens in Holden Beach and Kopitzki is retired. They will reside in Supply.

She is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth. The prospective groom is the son of Brenda Garrett of Manning, S.C. He is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. An Oct. 2 wedding is planned at Sunset Beach. Family and friends are invited to a reception at the Calabash Fire Department in Calabash at 3 p.m.
