The prospective groom is the son of Terry and Marilyn Garner of Laurinburg. A 4 p.m. Oct. 15 wedding is planned in Shallotte.

    Patrick and Ashley Smith of Carolina Shores are the parents of a son, Jacob Carey Smith, born at 10:24 a.m. May 21 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center weighing 5 pounds and measuring 16-inches long.

    He joins a sister, Rachel, age 5.

    Bo Allena Ellis of Shallotte and Daniel Mark Jankowski of Supply were married May 14 at Ocean Isle Beach Park in Ocean Isle Beach. The Rev. Tim Carter officiated the ceremony.
