     Martha D. Lee and Bruce W. Quaintance were married May 15 at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas.

    The wedding took place at 8 p.m. on the Terrazza Di Sogno overlooking Lago Di Como and Bellagio Fountains.

    The bride is the owner of Martha Lee Realty Company in Holden Beach and Ocean Isle Beach.

    The groom is the owner of Quaintance Inc. and Bruce’s Construction on Ocean Isle Beach.

    The couple resides on Ocean Isle Beach.

  • Johnson birth

     

    Brandon Johnson and Heather Rhodes of Erwin are the parents of a son, Gavin Malachi Johnson, born at 12:30 p.m. May 6 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital.

    He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 20 inches long.

    He joins a sister, Alana Ann Johnson, 2 1/2.

    Maternal grandparents are Marsha Rhodes of Supply and David Rhodes of Civietown.

    Paternal grandparents are Bill and Beverly Johnson of Erwin and Daniel and Jean Smith of Ash.

    Great-grandparents are Leo and Louise Hewett of Supply.

    Announcement is made of the engagement of Katherine Gaskin, daughter of Chuck and Lori Gaskin of Advance, and Joshua Reeves, son of Dwight and Susan Reeves of Ocean Isle Beach. The couple will be married June 27 at the Southport Community Center in Southport. The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Davie County High School and is enrolled at East Carolina University. She is employed as a freelance photographer. The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of West Brunswick High School and is enrolled in East Carolina University, where he is employed as a graduate assistant.

    He weighed 10 pounds, 8 ounces and was 21 inches long.
    Grandparents are Gene and Bea Haik of Southport; Johnny and Sheila Grainger of Supply; and Keith and Barbara Robbins of Winnabow.
    Great-grandparents are Dennis Lee and Patsy Lewis of Winnabow; Charley and Elizabeth Foster of Supply, and Elbert and Joyce Robbins of Nakina.
