  • Webb-Sullivan

    Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Rebecca D. Webb, of Supply, and Daniel J. Sullivan of Sunset Beach. The bride-elect is the daughter of Wayne and Virginia Honeycutt of Supply. The prospective groom is the son Danny and Lynn Sullivan of Sunset Beach. A July 26 private ceremony is planned.

  • Collier-Leonard

    Clayton Horace Collier III and Leslie Zachary Collier of Oak Island, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lynsey Paige, to Joseph William Leonard V. Leonard is the son of Barbara Leonard of Naples, Fla. and the late Joseph William Leonard IV. Originally from Charleston, W.Va., he received an associate degree in the culinary arts from Pennsylvania Culinary Institute and is a chef at the Conrad Miami Hotel of Florida. He will graduate in December with an associate degree in hospitality management from Miami Dade College. Collier is a native of Oak Island.

  • Lear-Vivas

    Stacy Rechelle Lear and Jonathan Harry Vivas, both of Missoula, Mont., were married May 24 at Fort Missoula’s Heritage Hall.

    The mayor of Missoula, John Engen, officiated the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter Frank and Debbie Lear of Supply and the granddaughter of Helen Lear of Rockingham, the late Brant Lear and the late Reck and Lucille Stroud.

    The groom is the son of Manual Vivas of Minnesota and Dorothy Vivas of Mount Vernon, N.Y.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father, Frank Lear.

  • Evans-Register

    Kristin Nichole Evans and Mark Allen Register, both of Southport, were married Saturday, May 10, at Brunswick Town State Historic Site.

    Pastor Bobby Wilson of Winnabow officiated the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Marshall and Debbie Evans of Bolivia.

    The groom is the son of Martin and Gail Register of Southport.

    The bride was given in marriage and escorted by her sons, Alexander Evans and Elliott Register.

    The bride wore an off-white, full-length satin and chiffon gown with train embellished with sequins and pearls.

  • Montgomery-Szwed

    Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Christy Montgomery and Michael Szwed, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C. The bride-elect is the daughter of June and Charles Simpson of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. The prospective groom is the son of Deborah Szwed of Longs, S.C. and Michael Szwed Sr. of New Jersey. A March 14, 2009, ceremony is planned at Chapel By The Sea.

    Kristin Ann Lesley and Jason Britt Parker, both of Lakeland, Fla., were married at 8 p.m. March 23 in a double-ring ceremony in the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.

  • Brantleys celebrate 50 years

    Frankie and Elayne Brantley will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary May 31. The couple, formerly of Charlotte, now make their home in Sunset Beach. Their children are Sharyn and Randall Morrison of Sunset Beach, Lee Brantley of Davidson, Bart Brantley of Buffalo, N.Y. and Jennifer and James McCall of Davidson. They have five grandchildren, Isaac, Jacob, Caleb and Bethany Morrison of Sunset Beach and Kody Clontz of Davidson.

    Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Jamie Carter of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Lloyd Inman Hendricks Jr. of Ocean Isle Beach. The bride-elect is the daughter of Esta Carter of Longs, S.C., and James Ron Carter of Alpharetta, Ga. The prospective groom is the son of Lloyd and Susan Hendricks of Columbia, S.C. A Sept. 27 wedding is planned at Living Water Baptist Church in Longs.

The prospective groom is the son of Debbie and Dale Benton of Southport. A June 7 wedding is planned at Ocean Isle Beach.

  • Williams birth

    Allen and Lesley Williams of Holden Beach are the parents of a daughter, Ava Marie Williams, born at 9:48 a.m. April 10 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

    She weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 20 inches long.

    She joins a sister, Aley, 17 months.

    Maternal grandparents are Lyn and Judy Holden of Holden Beach.

    Paternal grandparents are Fred and Eliza Williams of St. Pauls.

    Great-grandfather is Frederick Williams of Rex.
