  • Lewises celebrate 50 years

    Francis (Frank) Lewis and Mary Lewis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 11. They were married in Yuma, Ariz., on Jan. 11, 1958. The Lewises have six children and four grandchildren. Their children gave them a surprise anniversary reception Jan. 10 at Ocean View Baptist Church, where 125 friends and family attended. Their son Kenneth Lewis made a three-tier wedding cake with yellow roses and a fountain for the celebration. Their sons Kenneth, James, Billy and Alan and daughter Patricia gave them a cruise to the Bahamas.

    Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Faith Evans and Derek Frink, both of Supply. The bride-elect is the daughter of Violet Andrews of Leland and Douglas Evans of Shallotte. The prospective groom is the son of Lee Vance Frink and Marjorie Lynn Frink of Supply. A Feb. 14 wedding is planned at Oak Grove Baptist Church.

    Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Jennifer Ann Kirby of Supply and Kirk Joseph Worrell of Shallotte. The bride-elect is the daughter of Gerald and Wanda Kirby of Supply. The prospective groom is the son of Livius and Mary Jo Worrell of Fayetteville. A March 15 wedding is planned at Ocean View Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

    Brandon Johnson and Heather Rhodes of Dunn are the parents of a daaughter, Alana Ann Johnson, born at 8:09 a.m. Dec. 27 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn.

    She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 19 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Marsha Rhodes of Supply and David Rhodes of Civietown.

    Paternal grandparents are Bill and Beverly Johnson of Erwin and Daniel and Jean Smith of Ash.

    Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Angela Nichole Holden of Supply and Daniel Currie McColl IV of St. Pauls. The bride-elect is the daughter of Laila Holden of Supply and Larry Holden of Bolivia. The prospective groom is the son of Lisa and Harold Grim of St. Pauls. A Nov. 8 wedding is planned at Concord United Methodist Church.

    Jason and Felicia Woodard are the parents of a daughter, Katelyn Nicole Woodard, born at 7:46 p.m. Dec. 15 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

    She joins a brother, Joshua, 9, and Hailey, 2.

    Maternal grandmother is Mary Bell of Supply.

    Paternal grandparents are Connie and Percy Woodard of Supply.

    Great-grandmother is Allene Bryant of Bolivia.

    Great-grandmother is Lydia Gause of Maryland.
