“Great-Grandma Susie Inman clowns around with good old Ronald McDonald on her 75th birthday,” wrote 11-year-old Hailee Townsend of Ash. After Townsend asked Inman to pose with the famous clown many times for a photograph, Inman relented on her birthday Oct. 4.
Join the town of Holden Beach from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, for Boo at the Beach at the Holden Beach Pavilion at the end of Jordan Boulevard. The free event will feature booths with carnival games for children sponsored by groups, businesses and residents. With a smile or two to deepen my pleasure, I remember enjoying the adventures of “The A Team” evolving with the ultimate and triumphal pronouncement: “I love it when a plan comes together.” Although it really wasn’t a plan that came together recently, I sensed providential planning plaguing my steps. It evoked a series of serendipitous events, emails, and experiences. The events were catalysts for the experiences and made the emails profoundly meaningful.
