North Brunswick's boys track and field team captured its fourth consecutive outdoor state championship last weekend in Greensboro. Jayhlen Washington led the Scorpions with three individual first-place finishes and was part of a winning relay team.
Four in a row!

Jayhlen Washington was perfectly healthy when he entered the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 2A Outdoor Track and Field State Championship last week in Greensboro.

The only health concern he had afterward was whether his neck was strong enough to carry the four gold medals he earned during the competition.

Washington led North Brunswick High School to its fourth consecutive outdoor track and field state championship Friday, May 19, at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro.
