SHALLOTTE—The North Carolina Attorney General’s Office Annual Peace Officer Memorial Day Ceremony will be in Brunswick County for the first time next week.
Larry Prince, father of slain Boiling Spring Lakes police officer Mitch Prince, said he expects more than 1,000 people at the annual event.
“The state has a memorial service every year, usually right around this time. It moves around the state. Last year, they asked me where I would like it to be, and I said Brunswick County,” Prince said.
