RALEIGH—Another North Carolina politician now bears the scarlet “F.”
Last week, in a Wake Court courtroom, the year-and-a-half-long federal investigation into former N.C. Gov. Mike Easley ended with a guilty plea in state court.
Easley, who served two terms as North Carolina governor, from 2001 until 2009, entered an Alford Plea Tuesday, Nov. 23.
Easley entered the plea deal to one felony count of certifying a false campaign finance report.
