    James Lester Simmons, 39, 7257 Loula St., Ocean Isle Beach, arrested on an order for arrest on a charge of failure to appear in court.

    Structure fire at 4910 Bridger Road, Apt. 14, by stove catching fire, causing smoke and fire damage.

    Larceny by someone taking buffet table from behind Old Shally Restaurant on Main Street.

    Nicholas John Mateer, 29, 1565 Morgan Road, Supply, arrested on a warrant from New Hanover County for assault with a deadly weapon.

  • Calabash Fire Department reports Sept. 2014

    During the month of September, the Calabash Fire Department responded to 172 calls: seven structure fires, one woods/brush fire, six fire alarms, five motor vehicle accidents, one gas leak, one investigation, five other, 17 public assistance and 128 EMS first-response calls.
