Shallotte police charged the following people and investigated following incidents last week. All information is taken directly from police reports.

•Police charged Christos Chris Politis, 50, of 154 Southshore Drive, Holden Beach, with driving while impaired and driving left of center. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center.

•Police charged Daniel Keith Clinton Jr., 27, of 2022 Seashore Hills Drive, Supply, with breaking and entering an automobile and larceny; he was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center.

The Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team is a support unit, whose primary functions are traffic enforcement and assisting in the apprehension of drug traffickers in the county. The ACE team conducts driving while impaired and driver’s license checkpoints, as well as street-level investigations on controlled substances.
The ACE team works with the sheriff’s office K-9 Enforcement Team and Drug Enforcement Unit to apprehend narcotics suspects as well as saturating hot spots where criminal activity is reported.

Agents with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two men after finding cocaine during a search warrant at a Winnabow home.

Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. April Stanley said drug agents arrested Michael Buck and David Jenkins after executing a search warrant Friday, April 30, at a home at 1704 Field View Trail, Winnabow.

Drug agents seized cocaine and drug paraphernalia at the home. Stanley said community information and complaints prompted the investigation into Buck and Jenkins.

A Lenoir woman has been arrested for stealing a pickup truck, which was recovered by sheriff’s deputies.

According to Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. April Stanley, Tanya Renee Powers, 33, of 2640 Deerbrooke Road, Apt. 2, Lenoir, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.
