    First-degree burglary reported on Clubhouse Road.

    Sept. 12

    Aldo Rangel was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Kathryn Cartney was cited and released on a trespassing charge after taking merchandise from Wal-Mart on New Pointe Boulevard without paying for it.

    Amanda Suelkn Powell, 29, of 1141 Indigo Circle, charged with driving while impaired and drug violations.

    Michelle Linda Ragonese, 50, of 10185 Beach Drive, Calabash, charged with resist, delay and obstruct.

  • Calabash Fire Department report for August 2015

    During the month of August, the Calabash Fire Department responded to 149 calls: eight structure fires, two woods/brush fires, eight fire alarms, six motor vehicle accidents, an investigation, 12 public assistance calls, three other, and 109 EMS first response calls.

    Belinda Ellen Anderson Woods, 57, 7171 Westbrook Ave. SW, Ocean Isle Beach, cited for shoplifting $40.85 in items from Wal-Mart.
