    March 17

    Jeromey Tucker, 31, of Shallotte Point Loop Road, Shallotte, was arrested on a felony common-law obstruction of justice charge in a pending case.

    Taylor Lewis, 23, of Clubhouse Road, was arrested on a felony common-law obstruction of justice charge in a pending case.

    March 19

    Debra Rusmisel, 49, of Woodland Street, Convington, Va., was arrested on charges of DWI and resisting, delaying and obstructing.

    Larceny of a motor vehicle from Sea Trail later found burnt in South Carolina.

    Jeffrey Cameron McLeod, 43, of Emerillon Court, Ocean Isle Beach, was arrested on charges of larceny and drunk and disruptive.

  • Calabash Fire Department February 2017

    During the month of February 2017, the Calabash Fire Department responded to 190 calls: eight structure fires, six fire alarms, 11 motor vehicle accidents, one rescue, one investigation, 29 public assistance calls and 134 EMS first-response calls.

    Feb. 22

    Report taken in Sea Trail in reference to “secretly peeping.”

    Demetrica Butler, 29, of Ocean Highway was arrested on outstanding warrants.

    Feb. 23

    Kidnapping, breaking and entering and larceny reported.

    Brandon Lamar Stevenson, 27, of Burnice Lane in Bolivia arrested on charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, injury to real property and misdemeanor breaking and entering. Stolen property was recovered by Sunset Beach detectives.

    Feb. 18

    Mail reported stolen at Sunset Commons off Seaside Road.

    Breaking and entering reported on Kings Trail. Unknown subject(s) entered home and took five flat-screen TVs.

    Bobbie Anderson, 23, of Ocean Haven Road was arrested on an outstanding warrant for simple assault and communicating threats charges.

    During the month of January 2017, Calabash firefighters responded to 159 calls: nine structure fires, a woods/brush fire, a vehicle fire, five fire alarms, seven motor vehicle accidents, two investigations, 22 public assistance and 112 EMS first-response calls.

    Breaking and entering on Creekview Drive; two TVs and several pieces of jewelry stolen. Two TVs have been recovered.

    Antaun L. Miller, 23, of Forrest Drive, Shallotte, charged with breaking and entering, felony larceny and injury to real property on Creekview Drive.

    Larceny of gas from a vehicle parked at Ocean Gate Plaza.

    Obtaining a $200 cell phone by false pretense.

    Larceny of a $150 cell phone from Wal-Mart.
