    March 11

    Breaking and entering, larceny of television, injury to real property reported at 434 33rd St.

     

    March 15

    Breaking and entering, larceny of televisions, injury to real property reported at 425 Fourth St.

     

    March 16

    Roger Dale King Jr., 30, of 4377 Mary St. SW, Shallotte, charged with reckless driving.

    Leland police investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests in the last two weeks. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

    Feb. 28

    Melissa Renee Meyer, 34, 153 S. Navassa Road, arrested for driving while impaired, fictitious registration and an outstanding warrant from New Hanover County on a misdemeanor child abuse charge.

    Traffic crash/hit and run on Village Road after an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle, causing property damage.

    Feb. 18

    Jamie Tyrone McCracken, 35, 3786 Strawberry Drive SW, cited for shoplifting items valued at $93.68 from Walmart.

    Feb. 28

    Gloria O’Brian Gonzales, 54, 5103 Angler Lane, Greensboro, arrested on a charge of shoplifting items from Walmart.

    March 6

    Johnathan Blake Ferster, 21, charged on outstanding warrant from New Hanover County for obtaining property by false pretense.

    Cody Austin Kohler, 22, charged on outstanding warrant from New Hanover County on a charge of obtaining property by false pretense.

  • Calabash Fire Department

    During the month of February, the Calabash Fire Department responded to 161 calls: six structure fires, three woods/brush fires, five fire alarms, two motor vehicle accidents, a rescue, a gas leak, 31 public assistance calls, four other, and 108 EMS first-response calls.

    Aaron Michael Goodrich, 37, 105 River Creek, charged with DWI.

    Feb. 19

    April Cheyenne Long, 20, 4860 Pigott Road SW, arrested on a charge of simple assault.

    Conversion by failure to return tax information to customers by Compass Accounting.

    Vandalism by driver of a Naber Dodge vehicle driving through a carwash in Sunoco parking lot and striking a wall with a headlight.

    George Anthony Pratt, 20, 1221 Dollier Court, Wilmington, arrested on a charge of fraud — obtaining money/property by false pretense after being found in possession of a stolen check and trying to cash it at a store on Village Road.

    Larceny by someone stealing a cell phone out of a purse while at Walmart on New Pointe Boulevard.
