    Larceny of a laptop computer, charger and cellular phone valued at $500 from a Main Street residence.

    Nov. 28

    William Edward Bell, 44, arrested on charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute heroin and misdemeanor littering.

    Breaking and entering and larceny of $565 from a Cheers Street business.

    Michelle Lynn Cowart, 39, 114 Hickory Dr., Leland, arrested on misdemeanor larceny charge.

  • Sunset Beach developer faces fraud charge

    A Sunset Beach developer has been charged with fraud and obtaining money by false pretenses.

    Richard Mace Watts Jr., 43, of 4528 River Road in Little River, S.C., was served with an outstanding warrant Nov. 22 on North Shore Drive East in Sunset Beach.

  • Calabash Fire Department Nov. 2014

    During the month of November, the Calabash Fire Department responded to 146 calls: six structure fires, five fire alarms, three motor vehicle accidents, three investigations, 20 public assistance calls, an other and 108 EMS first-response calls.

    Unauthorized use of a credit card belonging to a River Bluff Drive resident.

    Jason Aaron Covington, 33, 1044 Garden Club Drive, arrested on charges of DWI and driving while license revoked.

    Sheryl Lynn Caw, 47, Mulligan Way, Bolivia, cited and released for stolen merchandise from Walmart on New Pointe Boulevard.

    Larceny of merchandise from Wal-Mart on New Pointe Boulevard.

    Mary Moore Fletcher, 36, 1435 Nix Drive, Lewisville, charged with obtaining controlled substance by fraud.

    Larceny of a wallet, forge and uttering (with financial transaction card), Colony Place 1.
