    Credit card fraud by someone using victim’s credit cards in different stores.

    October 29

    Virginia Angelique Wallace, 39, 504 Wineyard Landing, Bolivia, arrested on warrants for misdemeanor charges of writing a worthless check, driving while license revoked and driving with a fictitious tag.

    Casimiro Bravo Perez, 49, 657 Fox Train Road, Supply, arrested on a warrant from Brunswick County for failure to appear in court.

    Russell Andrew Cook Jr., 24, 67 South Lake Drive, Texarkana, Texas, arrested for driving while impaired, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Tyler Dwight Gales, 19, of 7257 Lula St., Ocean Isle Beach, charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • Calabash Fire Department report for October 2014

    During the month of October, the Calabash Fire Department responded to 193 calls: six structure fires, four woods/brush fires, nine fire alarmeven motor vehicle accidents, two investigations, 28 public assistance calls, an “other” and 136 EMS first response calls.

    Oct. 20

    Marjorie Ann Graham, 20, 206 W. West St. W, Southport, cited for possession of ½ ounce or less of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Eduardo Rivera, 20, 4126 Ash Little River Road, Ash, cited for possession of ½ ounce or less of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Oct. 17

    Injury to personal property; someone slashed a tire on each vehicle parked at a Holly Hills Drive residence.

    First-degree burglary and common law robbery; someone wearing a ski mask broke into a Holly Hills Drive residence and stole medication.

    Simple assault; someone who started screaming at the victim then struck him in the face with her hand.

    Structure fire at 4910 Bridger Road, Apt. 14, by stove catching fire, causing smoke and fire damage.

    Larceny by someone taking buffet table from behind Old Shally Restaurant on Main Street.

    Nicholas John Mateer, 29, 1565 Morgan Road, Supply, arrested on a warrant from New Hanover County for assault with a deadly weapon.

    Oct. 10

    Assault reported by a juvenile who was assaulted at Hunterstone Apartments on Oct. 9.

    Traffic crash, vehicle versus deer on U.S. 74/76 resulting in property damage only.
