At 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, District Attorney Rex Gore’s executive assistant Libby Carlisle, a state employee, sent an e-mail from a Brunswick County e-mail account to the media. The e-mail announced Gore planned to run for re-election as district attorney.
