CAROLINA SHORES—Overall, the town did well during last week’s rains that spurred flooding in many parts of the county.
Carolina Shores Town Administrator Linda Herncane, speaking at a town board workshop Monday, said it was “amazing we’ve had no road closures.”
Water was high in all swales and ditches, “but it was moving,” Herncane said, adding the town’s maintenance men checked everything “before, during and after the storm. There was not problem in our area. The system does work.”
