SPECIAL TO THE BEACON
LELAND—Jack Boldt, a fourth-grader at Charter Day School, ran in the inaugural Maco Light Legend 5K last year—and along the way route he was searching for something.
“I’m not sure I saw the Maco light, but I sure was looking,” said Boldt, who was 8 when he ran the race. He joined nearly 200 other runners and walkers in the race on the school’s campus. Boldt finished third in his age group and 23rd overall.
