Remains found in Leland ID’d as missing Wilmington man

Human remains found in a wooded Leland area in early November have been identified as those of a Wilmington man reported missing more than four years ago.

According to a pathology report from East Carolina University, the remains found off Hooper Road “have been confirmed to be (those) of Al’Quon Flowers,” sheriff’s office spokeswoman Emily Flax wrote in a news release issued Wednesday, Nov. 25.

No information about his possible cause of death was released.
