To the editor: Please, someone enlighten me! The wizards in Washington, led by a Republican Senate minority, have decided that an unemployment compensation extension was too expensive. I am sure that those unemployed, by no fault of their own, might find that somewhat unresponsive to their needs.
I find that hunger and housing are alien concepts to our well-endowed and materially well-off members of the Senate.
What are the expenses of unending wars? I can’t call them wars since no declaration has ever been made.
