  • Help save, protect cats

    To the editor:

Thanks so much to all my friends and store owners who put up fliers, Sunset Beach police and the many new acquaintances I met who were so helpful when my housecat escaped recently. Bindi was not familiar with the area, so I was greatly relieved to find her frightened and much thinner after 15 days out in the freezing weather.

  • H2GO plant unnecessary

    To the editor:

    To the editor:
Parents, educators and community members: Communities In Schools of Brunswick County (CIS), representing more than 3,100 students, their families and the Brunswick County community, needs your support. • I really dodged a bullet there

Last week was very exciting for one of our Brunswick County residents thanks to a life-changing lottery win.

And yes, I am including myself in the congregation who are very happy for, and a bit envious of, but really very happy for the winner.
