  Down 4-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning, West Brunswick took advantage of a one-out infield error to rally for five runs and stun Southern Wayne 5-4 May 15 in the second round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Class 3A state baseball playoffs.

When an emotional West coach Mike Alderson was asked who would have thought of an ending like this, he said, “A team with no quit and a lot of heart.”
