Michael Green threw a nine-inning three-hitter but the Brunswick Community College baseball team lost 1-0 to USC Salkehatchie in the first game of a nonconference doubleheader Saturday.
Green struck out five, hit one and walked one (the first batter he faced).
USC scored its run in the top of the ninth on a single, a stolen base, a sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly.
The Dolphins loaded the bases in the eighth with two outs and in the ninth with one out but were unable to score.
In the eighth, the inning ended on a line out.
