Fishing

Finally, I am reporting that not only has the weather been cooperating but also so have the fish. 
It has been a long, cold winter, but I believe we are out. This past week we had stable weather with easterly winds, which pushed the Gulf Stream over top of the 30-fathom break, bringing to life such fishing hot spots as the Steeples, Black Jack and Winyah Scarp areas.  

Spring fishing is here with warming temperatures and unstable weather. Drum are still the most consistent catch, although flounder and speckled trout are hitting now and a few bluefish have shown up.

The weather and wind have been a bit dicey at times, but water temperatures are rising and spring fishing is picking up. Redfish remain the most consistent bite but flounder action is picking up as well.
