Most golfers have played in a charity golf event; many of us have run one or served on a committee. Whether the tournament is a fundraiser for a local family with extreme medical bills or a posh Rally for the Cure at a private club, it takes a tremendous amount of time, effort and organizational skills to pull it off.
A charity tournament is not like a regular golf tournament. There are sponsors to recruit, raffle prizes to solicit. There might be a silent auction, a breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, snacks and refreshments on the course.
